My (new) design process
My design process has evolved tremendously over the past few years. With the advent of AI, I'm now able to dive deeper into research and design without wasting any additional time.
generative research
I've always enjoyed doing my own research, and now with teams heavily consolidating headcount it feels like a must-have in a designer's toolkit. Without a deep understanding of why a product or feature is being built I find it hard to stay motivated, so if the initiative has already been refined I'll at least ask to see the interviews so that I'm building for users I actually know.

prototype creation
Once I know what the real problem is I interrogate the assumptions underneath it and build out a content hierarchy before any aesthetics enter the picture. Strategy has to come before screens or the screens won't hold up.

Demo: Input a product's value prop and get back a content hierarchy and a short set of design principles that everything downstream will answer to.
evaluative research
I'm a Design Engineer based in Salt Lake City. I embed with teams to lead research, design, and development from concept to launch, delivering the work of a small studio as one accountable partner. My focus is turning ambiguity into structure, building scalable systems, and translating customer insight into product decisions. Alongside client work, I'm building AI-first tools to modernize how teams synthesize and use research.
