Background

SouthEast Bank's existing loan calculator was extremely outdated and cumbersome to use. User interviews revealed that customers wanted a calculator prominently featured within the application flow, rather than buried on the home screen. Users were struggling to complete their loan applications and expressed a strong desire to have an integrated calculator within the application process.

I led the complete redesign of the loan calculator, focusing on creating a modern, intuitive interface that would serve new and refinanced borrowers. My design approach incorporated best practices from industry-leading financial tools, including Toyota's automotive financing calculator and Zillow's mortgage calculator.
